Showing you can cover the trip without unauthorized employment
Evidence that the applicant has sufficient funds to cover all expenses during the trip to the United States without unauthorized employment.
Officers assess whether your finances plausibly cover travel, lodging, food, and activities for the stated length and destinations. Recent bank statements (often 3–6 months) showing stable balances are stronger than a single-day snapshot. Large unexplained deposits shortly before the interview raise questions. If someone else sponsors the trip, provide a sponsorship letter plus the sponsor’s financial evidence and a clear relationship explanation.
Funds should be proportionate to the itinerary — a long multi-city trip with thin balances looks inconsistent.
