The school's letter that admits you to a programme in Canada
Last updated Oct 27, 2026
Educational only — not legal advice.
A letter of acceptance comes from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada, on the school's letterhead. It names the programme, its start and end dates, the tuition owed and the date by which you must register. IRCC always requires it for a study permit.
Common mistake
Attaching other documents in the letter-of-acceptance space. They are disclosed to the school.
