National Visa Application Confirmation

What it shows

The national visa application is completed online on the Consular Services Portal (digital.diplo.de) where your German mission uses it, otherwise on the mission's national visa form. The confirmation shows your name, the purpose of stay (study), the mission and your dates. You attend an appointment for fingerprints and the fee, which for a national visa is EUR 75 (EUR 37.50 for minors).

• Fill the application from the passport and the admission letter so the details agree
• Book the appointment early; processing can take several months
• Keep the confirmation, the appointment confirmation and the fee receipt together
