Passport Biodata Page

Official Definition

A passport issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages and valid well beyond the planned arrival; the German mission's own page sets how long it must remain valid.

What Consular Officers Look For

German missions generally ask for a passport issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages, and valid well beyond your planned arrival. Each mission publishes its own checklist, and it sets how long the passport must remain valid, so read the page of the mission that will handle your application.

You also provide a biometric photo. The biodata page should be a clear scan showing your full name, nationality, passport number and issue and expiry dates.
