How Visa Engine Works

A product guide to Visa Engine features — cases, AI analysis, preparation, drafts, RFE studio, eligibility, and plans

What is Visa Engine?

Visa Engine is an AI-powered visa petition workspace. You create a case for a specific visa type, upload evidence documents, and get structured analysis of how those documents map to immigration criteria — plus readiness scoring, preparation tools, and draft generation.

It is an educational and analytical tool, not a law firm and not legal advice. Analysis is grounded in publicly available immigration policy (RAG), not generic LLM memory alone.

Cases and documents

A case is your workspace for one visa route (for example O-1A or UK Standard Visitor). You upload evidence files; Visa Engine extracts text, classifies document types, and evaluates how each file supports the criteria or checklist for that route.

Document versioning tracks revisions with SHA-256 hashing so you can re-upload improved evidence and compare versions. Only the latest version counts toward readiness by default.

AI analysis and readiness

When a document is processed, the pipeline:

  1. Extracts text from the file
  2. Analyzes it against criteria (or visitor checklist items) for your visa type
  3. Scores evidence quality and supported criteria
  4. Assesses overall case readiness across uploaded documents

Talent / work routes show a criteria grid. Visitor / tourist routes emphasize a checklist and refusal-risk style readiness (ties, funds, purpose, temporary intent) — Drafts and RFE tabs stay hidden on those routes.

Case preparation questionnaire

The Prepare tab walks you through per-criterion (or checklist) narrative answers with prompts, guidance, and examples from preparation templates. An AI document reviewer acts as a writing coach on your responses — it does not replace attorney review.

Drafts and DOCX export

On supported talent routes, Drafts can generate petition-oriented documents (for example support letters or cover narratives) from your case context. You can edit drafts in-app and export to DOCX. Draft generation is gated by plan (typically Starter+).

RFE Response Studio

If you receive a Request for Evidence, RFE Response Studio helps you organize the RFE text, map issues to evidence, and draft a structured response plan. Availability depends on visa type and plan.

Eligibility triage

The public Eligibility flow (/eligibility) asks a short set of questions and returns a ranked shortlist of visa routes that may fit your profile. It is a starting point for exploration — not an approval prediction.

Guide Library

The Guide Library (/guide) covers visa overviews, criteria deep-dives, document guides, a glossary, and FAQ. This page is the product guide; visa-specific guides explain how each route works under the law.

Firms and collaboration

Immigration firms can use organizations with roles (owner, admin, attorney, paralegal, member), shared cases, and lead tracking. Firm billing uses Stripe where configured. Individual applicants can use Visa Engine without joining a firm.

Plans and limits

Usage is tier-based (free, starter, pro). Free includes analysis, readiness tracking, prep tools, and guides; drafts and some advanced features unlock on paid plans. See Pricing for current limits and features.

Does Visa Engine provide legal advice?

No. Visa Engine helps you understand requirements and assess evidence against published criteria. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified immigration attorney. Guide and chat content are for informational purposes only.
