What it shows

Judging evidence shows that you served as a judge of others' work in your field: peer review for journals, grant panels, competition juries or thesis committees.

Strong vs. weak

Strong

Invitations together with proof the review or judging was completed
Review for selective journals, funders or recognised competitions
A confirmation letter from the editor or organiser describing your role

Weak

An invitation with no proof that you took part
Routine internal reviews or grading your own students
Automated thank-you emails with no detail

How to prepare it

Keep the invitation, the confirmation and the reviewer record for each activity
Ask editors or organisers for a letter listing what you reviewed and when
Add evidence of the standing of the journal or competition

Common mistake

Showing invitations only. The criterion is about judging you actually did.
