Educational only — not legal advice.

What it shows

An event program, playbill, agenda or poster names the people taking part in an event and their roles. It shows that you spoke, performed, judged or exhibited there, and how you were billed.

Strong vs. weak

Strong

Issued by the organiser, naming you and your role or the work shown
Shows the event, venue and date
Paired with evidence of the event's standing, such as its history, selection process or coverage

Weak

A draft or a programme you produced yourself
Your name in a long list with no role
An event with no evidence of what it is or who attends

How to prepare it

Keep the full programme, not only the page with your name
Add the organiser's page or a letter confirming you took part
Add reviews, press or attendance figures for the event

Common mistake

Relying on the programme alone. It shows you were on the bill; it does not show the standing of the event.
