Expert network provider terms

1. What the expert network is
Visa Engine (operated by Case Studio) lets people preparing their own visa application find a lawyer, licensed adviser or visa office in a small network, write to them, and — when they accept a firm's offer — share their case with that firm, so both work on it in Visa Engine.
Firms are shown to applicants in no particular order, only for the jurisdictions where Visa Engine checked a registration (a visa office: where it works), and only while the firm's Visa Engine workspace is paid. Visa Engine does not give legal advice, does not supervise or check your work, does not endorse or rank firms, and does not guarantee you any number of conversations.
2. You act independently
Any advice or service you give, and any work you do on a shared case, is yours, given in your own name and under your own professional rules and insurance. Whether, and on what terms, a lawyer-client or adviser-client relationship arises is between you and the applicant.
You only do work you are allowed to do: legal work only within a registration Visa Engine recorded for that jurisdiction. A visa office gives practical help only and never presents itself as a lawyer.
3. Fees
Any fee is agreed and paid directly between you and the applicant. Visa Engine does not charge the applicant for it, does not collect, hold or split payments, and takes no commission or referral fee.
State your fee, timing and what you will do honestly in your offer before the applicant accepts it. Do not ask for payment through Visa Engine.
4. The applicant's case
You see an applicant's name, email and case only once they accept your offer and share it. Your firm's owners, attorneys and paralegals can then see and change the case. Work on it only for that applicant and within what you agreed; do not delete or alter documents they gave as evidence without their agreement; keep everything confidential and secure; do not share it with anyone outside your firm; and delete your copies when you no longer need them, unless your professional rules require you to keep them.
For what you keep outside Visa Engine you are the controller and your own privacy obligations apply. Changes you make on the case are recorded with your firm's name.
5. Conduct
Never promise an outcome, never say Visa Engine chose or endorses you, and never contact the applicant to sell unrelated services. Reply to a new conversation promptly, even if only to say you cannot help, and mark a case ready to file only when you believe it is.
Tell Visa Engine at once if a registration we recorded lapses, changes or is restricted.
6. Your workspace and ending
You work on shared cases only while your firm's Visa Engine workspace is paid; if it lapses, your access stops until it is paid again. You can pause new conversations or leave the network at any time in Organization settings, and Visa Engine can pause or remove a firm. When you leave or are removed, every conversation ends and your access to every case shared with you ends at once; the applicants keep their cases.
These provider terms sit alongside the Visa Engine Terms of Service, which also apply.
